how self portraits are the only way to bring attention to a profile

this could mean 2 things

A)I'm attractive and a shitty photographer otherwise
B)I'm a good photographer, but every one on here just likes to see a pretty face

Your work is amazing... in the other hand... yes! you have been cursed with beauty. It's not sad, just take advantage. Maybe ppl will be attracted by your self portraits, but that will help them find your work and be amazed. That was my case.
